What is Student Council?
The Agoura High School Student Council (ASB) is a student organization that is dedicated to serving the students of AHS by promoting a positive and inclusive environment where every student's voice matters. Through the direction and support of student groups and events, AHS helps to shape a vibrant community on campus where students feel united, supported, and seen. Student Council gives students the opportunity to be creative, take on leadership roles, and make a positive impact while strengthening school pride and encouraging involvement in school life among students
How can I get involved?
There are multiple ways and levels of involvement at Agoura, and the first step to take is simple: just show up! Attending events like rallies, sports matches, and student performances, or sharing your opinion at class steering committee meetings and club meetings are just some of many instances where you can be involved on campus. When you feel that you are ready to make the commitment to join Student Council, there are two ways for you to join us through two types of positions:

Elected Positions: Roles such as Class Officers or ASB Executive Board positions are elected by the general student body. Each elected position has various bylaws that serve as guidelines and the minimum for the position all while following a constitution. Information about elections and elected positions can be found here.

Commissionerships: Roles such as the Commissioner of Arts or Commissioners of Technology and Entertainment are determined by interviews held in the spring. Each commissioner has various bylaws that serves as guidelines and the minimum for the position all while following a constitution. Information for commissionerships will be posted in the spring.
